The #BeWellChallenge has been created in order to support you in:

At a time where our daily lives have changed so much and we face many new difficulties, it is important to make time to look after our physical and mental health.

  1. Evidence shows that small things, from being active to connecting with friends, can make a positive difference to our mental health and wellbeing.

Launching on the 27 January and all through February, we’re here to encourage you to share content of how you are participating in the #BeWellChallenge to take care of your mental health and inspire those around you to #BeWell, too.. There’s a host of ways you can take part:

    1. Share what you’re doing to look after your mental health and wellbeing – which could be as social media posts with captions or social media videos shared on your feed or story with the #FreeYourMind and #BeWellChallenge hashtags.

    2. Participate in activities from our Wellbeing Map (i.e, going for a walk, partaking in a Parkrun, attending an art gallery and encouraging others in your social media network to do the same).

    3. Try something yourself! Have a look at the 5 Ways to Wellbeing to see the small evidence-based activities that you can do to improve mental health and wellbeing, such as:

    •         Being active – get out for a walk during your lunch break or at the end of the day.
    •         Connecting with other people – start a conversation with someone – or maybe pick up the phone, rather than sending an email…
    •         Taking notice – appreciate your surroundings and try and be more mindful about the present
    •         Keep learning – take time out to read a book, start a journal, enjoy arts and crafts
    •         Give – make the effort to be kind to a friend, colleague or stranger, or perhaps take part in some local volunteering opportunities in your community.

    1. Help spread the word about the importance of good mental health and wellbeingbe a part of the #FreeYourMind community, by engaging through likes and comments with our existing posts, as well as re-sharing posts on your own social media channels with friends.
